If we are still on phpBB then you guys should transfer over the user mySQL database. I've seen it done so it is possible just normally you have to reset your password then you have all of your account information and everything back. I've even seen it ported from IPB to vB so I'm fairly certain this can be accomplished.

It could be (could have been) but I dont have access to the db or the ssh shell on the old boards and Warlock is really really busy.

This was a known caveat when we started the site work and the board and members present at that meeting were all in agreement that this was the option we were going to take.
