Nice...ah A see that JAke the snake made it out! Keep an eye out its that time of year I have killed two in the last month........in my yard no less! Anyone carry a SBK?

Sure do, here it is:
SBK is nearly useless against rattlesnake venom (which is not a neurotoxin save for the venom of the green mojave). By using the suction device you all but guarantee amputation of that extremity by locking the venom (which breaks down tissue) in the extremity for a short period. While useful if your an extreme long distance from medical care, or when dealing with a venom you want to stay away from your heart or brain its simply not necessary in this area since we have close medical care with backgrounds in snake bite.
