Greetings!

New to the area, having played a bit in the Pacific Northwest, both organized and scrimmage games, though I've been out of the fray for a couple of years now. I figured with the change of climate and scenery, I'd look into getting back into playing for love of the sport.

I have a bit of kit that will either need some love or replacing - if anyone can point me in the direction of local shops or individuals that can repair or tune AEGs, I would much appreciate it. I tend to lack the skill, knowledge and/or patience to do it right. :P

There are a few places to get gear locally.
R&A tactical: 6811 N Thornydale Road. About 300yd south of Ina, on the west side of the road. There's a stoplight right in front. They have some amazing gear in there, but you gotta get there at the start of the month, after that it's 25 days of kneepads and hydration carriers.
Miller's surplus, craycroft: 1537 South Craycroft Road. Loooots of stuff. Discount if you buy over $50. Additional discount if you attend with any member of the local 49th commandos. (10% overall)
Miller's surplus, downtown: 406 North 6th Avenue. Lots more stuph. Tricky to get to, go west on broadway, stay on it (it turns into congress). Turn right onto 6th, and it's right past the railroad bridge. Parking is going to be on the street to your right before you get to the shop. Same discounts as the craycroft store!

Thanks, all. :)

I'll post the maintenance I need in the Services forum, thanks for the pointers!

Browsing through the AO section, I had a few questions:

Silverbell and SASCO - it's not clear from the descriptions if this is private/BLM land, public space, or what. Are they hosted/the kind of places that I should reach out to someone if I'm just wanting to head out with my wife and test gear, practice shooting, etc., or can I just grab my gear on a random afternoon/evening and head out?

Ironwood - This is listed as a WIP since 2010. Did anything ever come of it? (And if so, I suppose the same questions as above).

Also, Savage - Do either of the places you suggest repair AEGs, or would they be strictly for buying new gear?

all the AOs listed are open to the public. SASCO is a ways out and you should NOT go out near dark, or without letting someone know you are going best to go as a group and with areal steel if alone.
as for repairs. DP does a bit of tech, but the fplks here are your best bet. come out and get to know the groups
