im buying my first airsoft gun and am hoping to have it by this. am i allowed to bring a gbb rifle? or should i stick to aeg's?

ur allowed to as long as it sticks to TAC rules....i know its ironic that im quoting rules but whatev. point being, 420 (correct me if im wrong) fps with .20's if it full auto, anything above that gotta be semi; and they WILL chrono your stuff so make sure it good. btw, gbb guns are sick....if u wanna put the money into them, id recommend sticking with AEG's, there are so many cheap ones that are amazing, i even have one that i may sell if ur interested, pm me. hope that helps

FPS is going to be...

2. All weapons are are required to be chronographed and observe a maximum fps limit. For normal field games (CQB will differ) the limits are as follows:
2.1 All AEGs not covered further below must be at or under 376 fps with a .25g BB (420 w/ .20g).
2.2 All Sniper rifles* must be at or under 460 fps with a .36g BB (617 w/ .20g) and must observe a 75 foot MED (Minimum Engagement Distance) as well as have automatic firing abilities mechanically disabled.
2.3 All SAW Weapons** must be at or under 400 fps with a .25g BB (445 w/ .20g).
*Sniper rifles must be semi automatic or bolt action rifles with a stock and barrel length over 33 inches. Violating the semi automatic fire or MED rules with a weapon in this range will result in aggressive disciplinary action.
**SAW Weapons are faithful recreations of belt or box fed firearms qualify as SAWs. This includes (but is not limited to) the M60, M249, MG42, RPD, Shrike, and similar models. NO MP5's, M-16s, or non SAW weapons with a drum magazine are recognized as SAWs and as such must follow the AEG rules.

great news. i can go to this now.. bad news is all i have is a gun and a paintball mask. my gun comes tomorrow in the mail i just dont have bbs or green gas... ordered that a couple days ago probably wont come til next week. what should i do to get ready last minute for this?

i have a car and live close to uoa i can drive a couple people if you leave near uoa i just dont know if i can go due to lack of gear

I have 1 can of green gas that has been used a little, you can buy it off from me. And you can use some of my bbs for driving me. I live about 4 miles west of UofA, where exactly do you live?

BTW I would think your rifle would use a lot of gas. You might be using a full can for each game and that gets expensive. Maybe you should think about use propane because it will be much cheaper.
