I know this is kind of late notice but I wanted to make sure the southern AZ guys know about this.
Mt. Ord is quite a drive but it's a great AO and should make for a fun time!

Mission: Sparrow Flight

HOBO SITREP INBOUND

Recovery Team Hobo has successfully rendzevoused with Raptor One and has secured a small rally point inside North Korean territory. A contingent of what is known as the NK People's Militia has since been in pursuit and has radioed in reinforcements from the suspected coastal command post. Per recon surveillance, the reinforcements are expected to make hard contact with Hobo within the next 15 minutes. The current rally point will be too hot for extraction, therefore a secondary LZ has been communicated to Hobo. Extraction cavalry is en route to LZ Gamma and is expected to arrive within 3 hours. Recovery Team Hobo is to locate LZ Gamma and hunker down for extraction.

Where: Mount Ord

When: Saturday, August 27th @ 0800hrs
Meetup @ 0700hrs at the Shamrock Gas Station across from Ft McDowell
Chrono @ 0800hrs
Game Start @ 0830hrs

Thanks for posting this up Toast. I had every intention of knocking it out Monday when I found the TAC site down and had to wrestle with our hosting company to get things stood back up.

Im NW Tucson... I can be in Mesa in an hour 45ish. How far from the 60 and 202 is it? hour and a half? and, are there any vehicle restrictions?

Mt. Ord is just past Strawberry on the 87. I'd say 45min from Fountain hills.
From the 101 and the 60, were I'm at, it's about an hour to and hour and a half from here.
The road up Ord is kind of hairy but any type of vehicle can make it up. One of the Phantom guys works for the Forest service and he says that they have been improving the road as well.
I can get the turn off exit number and GPS coordinates if anyone wants them.

One of the best parts is Ord is a beautiful AO and is close to 7000ft making it a lot cooler up there.
Fighting on that hill is a blast!

Besides the storyline we have tentitive FRAGOPS planned to keep the game moving and to provide the most entertainment for those that make the commitment and come up to a great AO!
