we need a cqb field

Postby cpt_wonton2 on Thu Sep 10, 2009 9:11 pm

so i was browsing youtube and found this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xH71haZn4Sg

which brought me to my next wonder, would the city of tucson let us use an out-of-business lot (preferably a mall or mini golf course) to airsoft in? Does anybody have ideas or knowlage of any of this? A possible profit-making idea, maybe the envy of other cities in AZ.

That would be so cool, but I think this thread should be in AO discussion ;)

One word- Liability! The only way I could see it work would be a Pay-To play and EVENT insurance would need to be obtained. Not cheap, but not atronomical.
best bet would be for a charity event, with a 6 month lead time to get it advertised....
Until then, SASCO is as CQB as we have

Or have the fee as a donation. Thats how the private MOUT facility Jericho does it, avoids some of the legal work.

i know i personally would be willing to donate to this cause. If you are at all interested in this idea, post "in" for a reply to this. Im going to check out some spots and see what we are deealing with. If enough people are interested then we could have something good, if not then this may be just another dream.

this would be awsome to get here in tucson, but one thing that would suck is all the little kids 17 and under would wanna play so we should "well if it ever does" make it an 18 and up thing or 21 and up so we dont have stupid shiot like little kids breaking or vandalising stuff there and also itd make for more serious game play, we do need a cqb place like an actual mall

I have actually put serious consideration into expanding Red Gila Tactical into an actual field. My main problem so far has been finding land close enough to town to expect some sort of decent turn out on a regular basis and getting a good sense that I'd be able to pay the bills. Lets face it airsofters are a fickle lot, if I took up a $1000 loan payment on some land I doubt people would keep coming to the same field, even with incremental upgrades, weekend after weekend for a time long enough to pay it off. I like you guys and all but not enough to eat a $1000 loan payment every month...

Now if someone knows of some cheap land we could improve upon, please let me know. Myself and some others in the organization may be willing to fork up a good chunk of the money needed to purchase it,l but only if it makes financial sense.

I'll be stopping by CQBAZ in phoenix before I come down again at the end of the month, want me to ask them how they did it all?
