TM FAMAS a piece of shit?

Postby ultimentra on Sun Nov 30, 2008 5:01 pm

I heard that this is the most horrible AEG on the market. I really don't believe any of it, but is it really true? Are there really some bad things associated with this gun?

I have also heard the the JP FAMAS is the same thing as a TM but it has some metal externals. It said that on a review but I just don't know.

All of the TM FAMAS I have had the pleasure of handling have been good shooting solid guns. I dare say the only thing wrong with them, aside from heavy plastic content is they are based on a French gun.

Yes I plan on altering the frenchyness a bit, making it into a bit more of respectable weapon from an iconic video game series. Hopefully I will be scoring one of these for christmas. Thank you for the reinforcement kiley.

I am looking forward to wielding a TM product instead of a clone, hopefully it will live up to its name in terms of accuracy.

the FAMAS was one of the first AEGs TM made I think, its really old.
I'm not sure what kind of hop-ups those even have in them and if their range/accuracy is up to par with newer TM's.
I don't think parts and upgrades are easy to find for them either.

yea go for the TM, that was the first AEG ive ever owned. bare this in mind, it is the first AEG designed by TM so its uses ALOT of out dated parts so upgrading is almost impossible, i mean the motor is actually a RC car motor.. its huge! ive pulled one apart a long time ago and i honestly donno or have seen if there are any parts available for a Ver.1 gerbox. but its does deliver a good ROF... and accuracy range and FPS are exactly what you'd expect from any other TM of the same barrel length.. id go for the TM p90 over this tho... and yes it is frenchamd is le awkward! but it was in the first MGS game

I dont think I will need to upgrade it much past an M100 spring and a tightbore barrel. Both of which I am sure it can take. And AZsharpshooter I would appreciate more constructive input. If thats all you have to say then you should have kept it to yourself.
