this m203 works like a shotgun right? there isn't a real m203 that actually launches a projectile which detonates at a later time is there?

There is no real m203 for airsoft that shoots out and detonates unless you really want to get the real thing and you will need a Class 3 license and 6+ months paperwork from the BATF and $200 tax stamp for every shell you detonate LOL.

I have some Madbull m203 nades they work very well but i prefer the 120 rounds or smaller because you get more spread and more distance vs having 204 rounds.

I have a few off brand 'nades, some MOSCART and some madbulls. Each grenade is good for a certain type of thing and each manufacturer has its own quirks. Overall, I would recommend madbull as their customer service is easy to reach if you need extra parts. However, you do pay a slight premium for them. If you have any questions about a particular grenade recommend for a particular application let me know I'd be happy to share my experience.
