is there an airsoft PEQ that does something other than a real PEQ? Or do you actually use real PEQs that require night vision?

The VFC AN/PEQ-15 has a flashlight and laser i believe, but the cheaper normal airsoft ones are using to store AEG batteries. For example on a gun like the Knights Armament PDW there wouldn't be and space to put a battery, so the wires go through the RIS rails, and into the PEQ box where they connect to the battery.

Real PEQ boxes require a military arms license, and cost upwards from $1500

Some of them have built-in personnel detectors. Quite nifty.
