For some inspiration watch the movie "The Hurt Locker", theres a scene with some british contractors in it, pretty authentic to what they would be wearing it would seem.

STOP looking at movies to see what the REAL WORLD operators are doing.
PICK up a few issues of SOLDIER OF FURTUNE.

Actors wish they could be 1/4 as hard as the people they play on film.
Look to the guys that are really doing( not actors in COSTUME) to draw inspiration for your CONTRACTOR look. Unless you are trying look like an actor pretending..............

good luck, don't over think it. KEEP IT SIMPLE

SIR
IT IS WHAT 'you' make it. there is a saying in MY CORPS, 'train how you fight'.

IF YOU 'PLAY' at war then when you 'GO TO war' will you be PLAYING then too?

Alex "I" do this because I want to stay sharp, keep my skills at KILLING things (people) at the very highest ability, without leaving my wife and kids and re-enlisting I only have you all to 'PRCTICE KILLING' that's just me, but I don;t play video games or have any friends............&.........I sleep with my rifle still. YES REALLY!"""This is my RIFLE, there are many like it, but this one is MINE"""""

I am surprised to read your coment, I thought that since you where so hard core, this was just your stepping stone to going into the 'service' and then on the REAL WORLD OPS.
