Its pretty close to what I have been wearing in the summer heat. What I have been wearing that could be considered my own "contractor" load out is khaki shorts, light weight boots, leg megazine holster and DPM blouse. My balls have thanked me many times.

Hmmmm. i figured the contractor look would catch on eventually. normally i try not to change folks minds, or knock a good thing but don't you think it would be cooler to replicate the look of a real mercenary? i would say go to a bookman's find a 70/80's era soldier of fortune (an issue from before they were shut down then re-opened) and check out their kits. Lots of bush gear, chi-coms and radio head sets. all the hallmarks of a classic modern mercenary, but without the rich boy feel. keeping it simple is key. if it were me I'd go with a chicom chest rig, defunct unit insignia with beret, some type of ak or pre-m4 colt carbine (m733 works) light jungle boots, and some type of foreign camo trousers, lizard french pattern or something dutch. mix it up with a modern radio set and a few other odds and ends like extra nylon pouches or whatever and bam! you look like a real mercenary ready to kill for the highest bidder, african bush style or lebanese conflict. lots of european stuff mixed with us and russian is a good way to start. i know it's not specifically contractor, but i hope it gives you an alternate perspective on your next kit.

listen to warren zevon's song- Roland the Thompson Gunner...might help lol
