D Boys K98k

Postby airbornemedic on Fri Dec 17, 2010 1:19 pm

I was looking at getting one of the D Boys K98k rifles and wanted to see if anyone has one and if they like it. Not looking to get it for a main rifle but would like to know if it performs well.

Well did you own one or did you hear that from one guy who knew a guy and so on?

I have some friends in a WWII re-enactment/ airsoft group that cant stop saying good things about them.

I don't know what ww2 airsofting guys you know, but http://ww2aa.proboards.com/index.cgi is the biggest I have found and they do not suggest it for skirmishing at all because of poor performance. Accuracy and power is very poor along with having to use shells. I was thinking about buying it because it was a kar98 at about $100, but you are much better off getting a vsr10 clone as it preforms much better and can be upgraded. I said fuck it got a Tanaka Mauser which, as it turns out, was not a good buy either.

Well the guys i know are in England/Ireland.

I am not looking for a modern sniper i want to make a WWII sniper.

I have plenty of main guns this is just mostly a fun/project gun and just really wanted someone that might of had some experience with this actual gun that could tell me the realistic fps and if things go wrong with it what are they other then the shells.

Let me know if you find anything about it, I honestly want one too. Although a G & G kar98k sounds promising.
