Communication Equipment

Postby Raptor on Fri Feb 24, 2012 10:25 pm

So now that I've substantially upped my arsenal and tactical gear, I'm looking at boosting my communication next. Having two parents who both served overseas, I've yet to hear the end of their proverb, "Communication>Firepower."
In a general sense of course.

So, my question to all knowledgeable on communication equipment:
What is the best equipment that you would recommend? I know I've seen people talk about ICOM, and from what I understand, Kiley can program them, So what would be some good options/choices? I plan on spending a good deal on communication, because I believe in its importance. Therefore, on top of a radio, I'm also looking at good headsets. Throat mics, even the dual ear, noise amplifying ones.

So please, fire away with suggestions.

+1

Also for headsets I would recommend Devgru or Cavalry. They will cost almost as much as a radio but well worth the money in the end.

Reddog radios has good ones. Ask them to ship with AA frequencies.
