the half teeth pistons are for the helical gears.Not sure if they make them for a L85

SO in my quest for a tougher long piston, I have only found the g&p and this psg-1 aluminium piston which sounds great, but its a 1/2 tooth piston. Is there any to make this work on my L85?

no,not that piston, in order to run a half tooth piston in a l85 you need to get the 10mm piston spacer, a standard aeg helical piston and a helical gear set but the only rearon you would want a helical setup is if u used a m130 spring or greater
