whats the best way?

a few of my MAG brand mags (ak74 mags) springs are starting to stick and wont push back up the bbs. ive never takin apart the mags and was wondering if there was anything to watch out for and the best way to clean them before i start doing it myself, thanks for the help

I don't know but there is a knob you turn that takes out the spring then you would use art type pipe cleaners with silicone lube would work to clean them out that's what I think?

Use a punch or hobby screw driver to remove the pin and then the cover comes off (hold it down with a finger or the spring will fling it across the room). Pull the spring out and stretch it a tiny bit a section at a time. Then take a t shirt cut up 1x1 inch sections and use wire (I used weed eater line) to push a swap with a bit of silicon oil through each magazine from the feed entrance to the cleaning port.

I just did this to my whole set and the difference was night and day. Good luck and be careful not to lose your pins, port covers, or followers.

ok i know this is an old ost but i now am just cleaning my mags and i pushed out the little pn and nothing is comming out .. i already took off the bottem cover

Follow:

-Push pin out
-cover top portion of mag with hand
-hit against hard surface (I use my hand)
-Spring WILL shoot out, along with the top piece (small rectangular peice). Keep your hand there, or be prepared to look for the lil shit
-Repeat as needed

Voila. If it doesn't work just pass them on to me and I'll do it lickity-split.
