nicads= yes you should fully dishcharge your battery before each charge dont over discharge that can do worse than over charging it
nimah= if you decharge a nimah it is bad to fully decharge it, leave 20% juce, any lower and is shortens the batterys life and can reverse cell your battery, once every 3 months decharge to %5 for memery

i have a NiMH and i don't have a discharger, should I get one?
