A&K Masada Fire Selector

Postby Cheese on Thu Dec 01, 2011 4:27 pm

Basically, I just bought a used Masada, and the fire selector works, but it doesn't "click" into place and the left handed one is just limp. I opened it to find out that these two gears connected through the gearbox by a rod to both selectors broke, and did some research and found out that the selector needs a little rubber stopper in order to stay "click" into safety, semi, or full auto. So, I was wondering if anyone here knew how to replace or repair these parts. I was thinking I could just use a ball bearing from ACE, but I'm not sure how to make it ambidextrous again.

Perhaps a hi res close up of these parts would help.I can not imagine that the internals differ much from other guns, and that the selectors only differ cosmeticly. perhaps replacement internal ambi parts from another AEG would be the ticket.

Alright, thanks. I'll post pictures of the parts when I get the chance.
