Measure the inner barrel more accurately. You might be able to use a 455mm inner barrel. If you are going to get a silencer might as well bring the inner barrel all the way to the end.

The path to upgrading for effective range:

Best bang/buck ratio:
hopup bucking and nub - People love systema, I love the G&G greens, and get an h-nub or an SCS nub.
tightbore of a decent length (~400mm or higher is a good length) - Madbull and airsoftGI make cheap, accurate barels

Starting to get a bit more expensive:
Hopup Unit - I recommend a King Arms unit, or the Prometheus Neo

Now it gets to the gearbox:
For accuracy only:
Airseal Nozzle - Systema ones are nice, but they're really all about the same, except JBU... they bite.

New cylinder head and piston head (The more consistent the airflow, the more consistent the fps. The more consistent the fps, the more consistent your accuracy will be) - I like G&G cylinder heads, and the systema Duracon piston heads.

For additional effective range:
Heavier, high quality bb's!
High quality spring (Higher quality = more consistent fps) - Guarder SP110 or 120 puts you at a good FPS for field play.
To upgrade the spring, since you're starting with a dboys gun, I would assume you will also need new bushings and/or bearings, as well as a metal spring guide. these really are all pretty much the same brand-brand.

Not to mention it will hurt your accuracy once you pass 410mm or so unless you also switch out your cylinder.
460 is about 2 fingerwidths short of full M16 length.

why would it hurt accuracy to have a longer barrel? i thought by increasing barrel length, accuracy increases.

You need to match the barrel to the cylinder volume. You won't have enough pressure for the new length of barrel, so it will lose speed. The piston will be traveling backwords before the bb exits the barrel causing a slight suction, that will slow down the bb and create some turbulence causing accuracy to fall down.

omg no you're so completely wrong on the reason.

Suckback is a myth. The real reason is that once the pressure is gone (it doesn't cause any vacuum or suction, just doesn't have a positive pressure... the nozzle disconnects before the piston moves back) the bb will rub around inside the barrel still... allowing rolling and bouncing inside the barrel. This is unpredictable and both costs FPS from additional friction and accuracy loss.

So when do you recommend a full cylinder? 400mm+ barrel?

When they say "airseal" nozzle does that mean the nozzle has an o-ring on the inside? What would you get? A Guarder or Systema?
